What is it you do for a living? (Parenting, volunteering, CEO of social service organization, etc.)
Ex-Teacher looking for work that will allow me to help end childhood trauma. I am very interested in helping schools become trauma informed and using my story (and healing) to help in any way that I can.
What organization(s) do you volunteer or work for?
None at the moment. I previously worked for the Cambrian School District in San Jose, CA.
What is your interest in PACEs and resilience science?
It is the root of everything for me. It explains my own PTSD and validates my use of mindfulness, yoga, and good nutrition for healing. It explains the behavior of my students, my family, the rural community I grew up in, and I am compelled to help others heal and become trauma informed. I strongly feel that this is the Silent Spring of psychology/mental health and I want to be a part of this movement. I want to help people heal and become more healed myself.
