What is your interest in PACEs and resilience science?
For decades, I had no awareness of my own trauma and lived with victim mentality; blaming others, shaming myself, and modeling unhealthy behaviors to the youth I lived and worked with until I took accountability of my healing and decided to Thrive.
As a former teen parent and single parent, I attempted to raise children with the lessons I learned from my own parents who had Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs). Without knowing how to discipline beyond punishment, they repeated cycles of unhealthy relationships and taught me the same. Then I unintentionally recycled my own insecurities onto my children.
Today I provide Real Talks & Workshops to communities and policymakers throughout California, sharing trauma-informed strategies to develop Trusted Adult Mentorship Programs with adults and youth-serving organizations to prevent and respond to ACEs.
Discover the Trusted Adult within you by learning how to follow your own moral compass, while building community through mentorship to youth and collaboration with other Trusted Adults.
