What is your interest in PACEs and resilience science?

interested in bringing knowledge of mental health and in particular trauma into schools so that young adults deal go out into the world aware before they start to use substances to mask their pain. ideally make awareness part of their schooling and their world try and head off the major issues before they take over their lives. in my view it is peers that can help with this as much as parents. my own experience of the illness and death of mother between 14 to 16 in times when there was no support leads me to believe that unresolved trauma is the reason so many lives are ruined. i know if my peers had supported me and talked to me at the time it would have helped me not bury it and then pile more truama on top for good measure. i feel strongly that if we dont as humans come to the aid of young people who are suffering trauma and put resources around helping them heal and cope we are missing the opportunity to teach the generations that compassion and empathy are key to good lives and that helping our fellow man is a social responability. leaving young adults to flounder in life is almost criminal in my view. and probably creates many criminals in the adult world. a simple world wide agree set of steps that click into place when a trauma is unfolding that people around them know how to follow like a paramedic is trained to do clear consise steps would go a long way to educate people. this could easily be rolled out across the world with current tech . i am talking here about steps for the layman to use simple helpful things that you need to put in place around those while going through trauma. i dont have the answers but i am sure your organisation does. god sorry i got carried away a bit there.

If you're part of a community-based PACEs initiative, which one?
